The Power of Two Words: I AM

There was a time when I didn’t fully understand why the words “I AM” were such a big deal. I had heard spiritual teachers talk about it. I had read that it was connected to Source itself. But honestly? It just sounded like grammar to me. Two words. A subject and a verb. What’s so mystical about that? Maybe this is you too?

However, over time, and through more exposure to teachings and direct experience, I began to understand:

These aren’t just words. They’re activation codes. They are the bridge between the tangible and the intangible.

In sacred texts, “I AM” is how God names itself,

Not “I was.” Not “I will be.” Just… I AM.

Present. Absolute. The unconditioned awareness behind all creation.

When you say I AM, you’re not just describing yourself. You’re invoking yourself. You’re calling divine energy into form through the portal of your own being. That’s why whatever comes after “I AM” matters so much. It shapes your reality.

“I am overwhelmed.” “I am unworthy.” “I am not ready.” Each one commands your energy to match that truth.

But so does:

“I am clear.” “I am strong.” “I am love in motion.”

The I AM presence is the spark of Source that lives within you—closer than breath, beyond personality, deeper than any role or title. When you speak from it consciously, you don’t just affirm something…You create it.

So how can you work with this?

Start small. Choose a quiet moment—eyes closed, heart open. Speak aloud just one phrase that begins with I AM. Let it rise from your soul, not your mind.

Try:

  • I AM light remembering itself.
  • I AM calm in the center of the storm.
  • I AM the living breath of love.

Feel the resonance. Not just the words—but the field they create.

Let this be your daily practice of worship: Not worshiping something outside of you… But reverently recognizing the divine spark within you—and choosing to speak from that place.

Because the truth is…

You don’t need to become anything. You already are. And that’s the mystery of I AM.
