ESP: Unlocking Your Secret Senses

This week I’ve been having such a blast recording the speaker interviews for the upcoming Visionaries of 2026 Summit. Our lineup is stacked with thought-leaders, innovators, medical professionals, and spiritual guides, each offering their unique perspective on the future we’re stepping into.

And here’s an interesting twist: a few of them possess rare gifts of elevated consciousness, what many would describe as extrasensory perception, or ESP. I’m so fascinated (and a little envious) of people who have expanded capacities of knowing, sensing, seeing, and perceiving that which the rest of us just don’t seem to have.

So I've been doing a deeper dive and I’ve come to understand something surprising:

ESP isn’t actually “rare.” Every one of us is born with subtle senses beyond the traditional five. Some people are naturally more attuned, but these abilities aren’t exclusive. They're trainable, strengthenable, and deeply innate.

So What Exactly Is ESP?

And if it already exists within all of us… how do we begin expanding it?

ESP - extrasensory perception - refers to the ability to receive information beyond the five physical senses. It’s not fortune-telling, magic, or anything supernatural. It’s simply the intuitive intelligence of your higher consciousness perceiving more than the body alone can detect.

ESP shows up through capacities like:

  • Claircognizance — clear knowing
  • Clairsentience — clear feeling
  • Clairvoyance — clear seeing (inner visuals, symbols, flashes)
  • Clairaudience — clear hearing (inner words, phrases, tones)
  • Telepathy — mind-to-mind sensing
  • Precognition — sensing events before they unfold
  • Energetic perception — reading the “field” around people or spaces

In essence, ESP is your consciousness using its full spectrum of perception. Everyone has access to this spectrum. Most just aren’t taught how to recognize or utilize it.

The Science - Spirituality Bridge

Even the scientific world supports what mystics have known forever…

  • The brain processes vast amounts of information unconsciously
  • The nervous system responds to energy before the mind interprets it
  • The heart’s electromagnetic field picks up subtle signals
  • Mirror neurons create emotional telepathy
  • Quantum biology shows that consciousness is non-local

So when people talk about “intuition,” “gut instinct,” or “a feeling they can’t explain,” they’re describing forms of ESP just without the language.

How to Tell Which Intuitive Gift Is Strongest for You

Every person has a different “entry point.” For many high-consciousness people, the strongest gifts are knowing (claircognizance) and feeling (clairsentience). For creatives, healers, and visionaries, clairvoyance often plays a strong supporting role.

Instead of guessing, ask yourself a simple question:

“When I get intuitive hits, what happens first?”

  • A knowing → claircognizance
  • A body sensation → clairsentience
  • An image or scene → clairvoyance
  • A word or phrase → clairaudience
  • A feeling about someone else’s thoughts → telepathy

And yes, you might experience several at once. That’s normal.

If ESP Is Innate, How Do We Expand It?

Just like you build physical muscles, you can build subtle perception muscles. Here are simple ways to strengthen them:

1. Quiet the Mind

ESP is subtle; it gets drowned out by mental noise.Meditation, breathwork, or even 3 minutes of stillness expand your perceptive field.

2. Strengthen Your Energy Sensitivity

Grounding (standing barefoot on earth), somatic awareness, breath holds, and frequency-based practices sharpen the “inner senses.”

3. Track Your First Impressions

The first flash of insight is always the purest. The more you trust it, the stronger your intuitive accuracy becomes.

4. Notice Symbolic Imagery

Random mental images (places, faces, objects) actually aren’t random. They’re representations from your intuitive mind. Begin decoding them and your clairvoyant channel will open.

5. Feel the Body’s Truth

Clairsentience improves when your nervous system is calm. A centered body = a clear intuitive instrument.

6. Ask Questions and Listen

When you ask your intuition something directly, it responds, often instantly. Practice asking small yes/no questions and track the answer.

7. Reduce Sensory Input

One moment of silence each day (no music, no scrolling, no sound) gives subtle perception room to reveal itself.

8. Work with Higher-Frequency States

Sound healing, breathwork, visualization, light meditation, or any practice that expands your energy field also expands your intuitive bandwidth.

Your ESP is waiting to be remembered

We tend to think of ESP as something gifted to a select few, but the truth is much more fun:

It’s part of being human. Some people stayed attuned.Others forgot. But anyone can remember.

And as we move into a new era of consciousness, one where intuition, inner guidance, and energetic intelligence are becoming the focus. These capacities are not just interesting…they’re incredibly useful.

If you feel curious about your own intuitive abilities, take it as a sign.Your inner senses may be ready to open up more fully.

And if you want to explore this deeper, Harmoneum will be offering practices and guided experiences this month to help you tune in, expand, and trust the subtle wisdom that’s already inside you. Reply for more information. I’d love to hear from you.

In harmony,

~Delphine
