Bashar’s Formula: 5 Steps to Navigating Life

In one of my recent articles, I introduced the subject of channeling. If you didn't catch it, channeling is simply receiving communication from the spiritual realm through a person known as the “channel”. One of the most well-known modern channels is Darryl Anka, who channels an entity known as Bashar. (And fun fact…Darryl is the cousin of singer Paul Anka.)

I 💗 Bashar (and Darryl).

He’s direct. Sometimes abrupt. Very high consciousness. And I find myself nodding along more often than not.

One of Bashar’s most popular teachings is a five-step formula for navigating life. It’s deceptively simple but it’s also one of those teachings that becomes a go-to practice. Something you live, not just something you read…and it's definitely a tool I’ve gone back to time and again.

Here’s Bashar's Formula:

Step 1: Act on your highest excitement, at any moment, to the best of your ability. This isn’t “what’s the most logical move?”or “what would impress people?” It’s: what feels most alive to you right now? What are you most motivated to do? Excitement is direction from our higher-self, so follow it.

Step 2: Take it as far as you can until you can take it no further. Or until it no longer excites you.Follow the thread. Keep going while the current is there. When it fades, don’t force it. Let it complete. Maybe it was just leading you to the next highest excitement.

Step 3: Act on it with no insistence on the outcome.Don’t insist on how it “should” look. Don’t require a specific result. Let the path reveal itself through timing, synchronicity, and unexpected opportunities.

Step 4: Stay in a positive state no matter what manifests.Even if what shows up isn’t what you expected, trust that it may still be part of what’s meant for you. Not everything is a “sign you failed.” Sometimes it’s a redirection. Sometimes it’s a refinement. Sometimes its even better!

Step 5: Repeat and notice the limiting beliefs that arise so you can actively release them. This is where the real work is. Because the moment you begin following excitement, the mind will often respond with fear, doubt, and old programming. The formula helps you catch it in real time and let it go. This alone is worth the price of admission.

Bashar's Formula

What I love most about this is how practical it is. It simply asks you to listen inward, try something, observe and stay positive.

And here’s something else: the formula maps beautifully onto the four phases of coherence breathing we discussed in the last newsletter.

Excitement (inhale): you receive energy, inspiration, aliveness.

Take it as far as you can (hold): you stabilize the energy, contain it, commit to it.

Release insistence (exhale): you let go of control and soften the grip.

Stay in a positive state (stillness): you return to trust, neutrality, and openness, letting the next signal arrive.

In other words: it’s not just a mindset. It’s a rhythm that creates coherence.

And maybe that’s the real secret: when you live in that rhythm - receive, commit, release, trust - life starts to feel less like pushing and more like flowing.

So ask yourself…What is the most exciting next step I can take today?Take it as far as you can.Release the outcome.Stay open.Repeat.

And please let me know what happens!

In harmony,

~Delphine
