A Shift in Language That Changes Everything

Lately I’ve been fascinated by the power of the spoken word. My friend (and Harmoneum Coach) Pamela Gregory invited me to join her in an intention: to only let words pass through our mouths that support our desired experience. We both understand the immense creative force of language, not just as communication, but as creation. Yes, this is our kind of fun!!

Through the study of epigenetics, science is finally catching up to spirituality by recognizing the connection between belief, thought, and lived experience. Prayer was once minimized by academics as a nice idea, and is now being re-examined as something that may carry profound creative influence.

What if every word you speak is part of the formula that shapes the outcomes you experience? What if life is consciously influenced by your internal focus and your external output? It’s an interesting reframe after spending most of our lives believing everything is random, and the best we can hope to do is react appropriately.

One pushback I often hear is: “I’m just being honest.” And sure, honesty matters. But it’s also important to remember that all things are relative. The glass can be half empty and half full at the same time. So rather than using “honesty” to justify a fixation on old beliefs, what if you opened yourself to the possibility that you’re a bigger participant in shaping the life you live? And that it can be as simple as choosing more empowering words.

Here are a few examples of positive reframes:

  • Instead of “I can’t,” say “I’m learning to…”
  • Instead of “It’s impossible,” say “I’m open to possibilities.”
  • Instead of “It’s hard,” say “I’m growing through challenges.”

Language matters especially during times of escalation. Words shape field geometry: labeling an experience as warfare organizes tension, while labeling it as harmonization organizes relief. Choose phrases that honor your intention. You can say: A pattern is present, and I am harmonizing it. You can say: My space is becoming clearer. You can say: I welcome what supports my highest good. You can say: Everything else continues along its own divine path. These phrases orient your field toward sovereignty and allowance and that combination tends to create ease.

So in times of great transition - like what we’re currently experiencing on this planet - it becomes even more important to be mindful of what our words are creating.

Pamela and I both noticed that a lot of our growth was happening through challenge. We would catch each other making statements that didn’t reflect the outcome we actually preferred. It definitely requires consistent self-observation… and thinking before speaking. It also requires pausing before responding. But isn’t that the way we should be communicating anyway - more thoughtfully, and with intention? For most of us it’s a new way of thinking (and speaking) for sure, but if your goal is to manifest the beautiful life of your choosing isn’t it worth the effort?

In harmony,

~Delphine
